Global infrastructure and network services provider NetActuate has expanded its global footprint with the launch of a new point of presence (POP) in Dublin, Ireland. This strategic move enhances the company’s ability to deliver low-latency, high-performance network solutions across key digital markets and responds to the growing demand for infrastructure that can support edge computing and artificial intelligence workloads.
Dublin has emerged as one of Europe’s leading technology and business hubs, offering direct access to both transatlantic and pan-European fiber routes. The city’s appeal is bolstered by a supportive regulatory environment, a highly educated workforce, and a strong commitment to renewable energy. These conditions have made it a magnet for data center investment and cloud service providers.
Dublin is currently home to operations for nine of the top ten global software firms and seven of the top ten global technology companies, making it a pivotal location in Europe’s digital ecosystem.
NetActuate’s new POP is hosted within Equinix’s DB1 Dublin IBX Data Center and provides direct connectivity to key local Internet Exchanges, including the Equinix Internet Exchange and the Internet Neutral Exchange (INEX). This ensures that NetActuate customers will benefit from improved network reach, reduced latency, and enhanced performance when serving users across Europe. The facility also connects seamlessly with major cloud providers, including Amazon Web Services’ EU-West-1 region, helping customers extend their digital operations across the continent with minimal delay.
“Dublin’s role as a European leader in innovation, technology, and cloud services make it an essential location for NetActuate’s global footprint,” said Mark Mahle, CEO of NetActuate. “With this new POP, we’re providing our customers with immediate access to vital connectivity services designed to meet growing demand for edge computing and AI workloads.”
Colocation, Bare Metal, and Virtualized Deployments
This expansion would align with NetActuate’s customer-first infrastructure model. The company is known for delivering custom deployments tailored to specific business and technical requirements. From high-capacity storage and AI infrastructure to cloud services and compute resources, NetActuate offers an array of services on a flexible, as-a-service basis. The Dublin POP exemplifies the firm’s responsiveness to client-driven demand, particularly in regions where latency and scalability are crucial factors for business success.
Environmental sustainability is also a key focus of the new deployment. The Dublin site runs entirely on clean, renewable energy, helping customers reduce their carbon footprint while maintaining performance and uptime across European markets.
NetActuate offers a broad range of deployment options at its more than 40 locations globally. These include colocation, bare metal servers, and virtualized environments powered by virtual machines, containers, or Kubernetes. Clients can also benefit from advanced features such as BGP anycast routing and edge-optimized solutions designed to scale efficiently and operate with speed and resilience.
With the addition of the Dublin POP, NetActuate would strengthen its position in Europe and continues its commitment to delivering scalable, low-latency infrastructure solutions.
