Green Revolution Cooling (GRC), a provider of single-phase liquid immersion cooling for data centers, has announced new funding and expanded strategic alliances aimed at accelerating its global growth and innovation. With this increased funding, GRC says it is able to keep innovating in single-phase immersion cooling.

The latest investment round welcomes Samsung Ventures alongside existing investors HTS, SK Enmove, and ENEOS, signaling strong confidence in GRC’s market position and technological direction. Samsung C&T has also formed a strategic business alliance with GRC, reinforcing its commitment to next-generation cooling technologies.

The new capital injection comes on the heels of a series of significant milestones for GRC over the past year. The company has expanded its reach with a strategic Engineering Alliance with Cisco, introduced several new products, and secured additional production-level clients. It has also renewed its ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and established a global maintenance partnership with Park Place Technologies, further cementing its position as a trusted player in the data center cooling space. Notably, a GRC deployment at Shell – a 100 kW-per-rack immersion system – was recognized as a finalist in the North American Data Center Project of the Year at the DCD Global Awards.

Peter Poulin, CEO of GRC, described the funding as a vote of confidence in the company’s mission to transform data center cooling. “This additional capital allows GRC to continue pushing the boundaries of innovation in single-phase immersion cooling. We’re committed to delivering low-risk, low-TCO integrated solutions with the help of regional partners and operational experts.”

Sustainable Global Digital Ecosystem

The partnership with Samsung C&T adds another dimension to GRC’s strategic roadmap. Through a collaboration with the Samsung C&T Engineering & Construction Group, the companies aim to co-develop reference designs that meet the thermal demands of emerging technologies such as AI, high-performance computing (HPC), and edge deployments. These solution blueprints are expected to play a critical role in modernizing thermal management strategies across a range of data center configurations.

Daejung Kim, Vice President of the Green Business Office at SK Enmove, highlighted the importance of the Samsung alliance. “We are pleased to welcome Samsung to the GRC investor family. Together, we aim to simplify digital infrastructure while reducing environmental impact,” he said, noting the collective goal of building a more sustainable global digital ecosystem.

GRC’s patented immersion cooling technology would eliminate the need for traditional cooling components like chillers, CRACs, and air handlers. This approach drastically reduces energy consumption, lowers costs, and simplifies the design and operation of data centers. The systems are built to accommodate the growing thermal demands of applications such as 5G, blockchain, AI, and HPC.

With deployments in 22 countries, GRC is probably well-positioned to meet the rising need for sustainable, scalable, and efficient cooling infrastructure. The company’s continued work with silicon manufacturers might ensure that its solutions remain future-proof as workloads become increasingly power-intensive.
