T5, Bitfarms Partner on Pennsylvania HPC/AI Facility

T5 Data Centers and Bitfarms have entered into a strategic partnership to accelerate high-performance computing (HPC) and artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure development at Bitfarms’ Panther Creek facility in Pennsylvania. The collaboration combines Bitfarms’ expanding footprint in the AI sector with T5’s established expertise in data center design, construction, and operations, aiming to position Pennsylvania as a growing hub for next-generation computing.

T5 Data Centers, recognized for delivering scalable solutions for both enterprise and hyperscale clients, will lead pre-construction design planning and development approval processes for the project. Drawing on its track record of serving the seven largest U.S. hyperscalers, T5 will provide strategic guidance to ensure the facility’s architecture and operational capabilities meet the demanding requirements of modern HPC and AI workloads.

Bitfarms CEO Ben Gagnon said the initiative underscores the Panther Creek campus’s potential as a flagship AI infrastructure site. He highlighted that the project benefits from favorable political momentum, including the White House’s recent pledge to invest $90 billion in AI. According to Gagnon, the partnership will help Bitfarms capitalize on growing demand for AI-driven computing capacity while delivering long-term value to shareholders.

AI and HPC Facilities

For T5, the collaboration marks a significant entry into the AI-focused data center space. Tom Mertz, President and COO of T5 Services, described Panther Creek as an optimal location for an advanced AI data center complex, citing both infrastructure readiness and market potential.

The partnership reflects a broader industry shift toward purpose-built AI and HPC facilities capable of supporting large-scale, distributed workloads with high reliability and performance. With AI adoption surging across industries, the move positions both companies to capture emerging opportunities in a rapidly evolving digital infrastructure market. By aligning technical capabilities and strategic vision, Bitfarms and T5 aim to create a competitive advantage in an increasingly data-driven economy.
